| Injection moulding is a prototype method used in plastic processing with which read-to-use moldings can be produced in large quantities. The respective synthetic material gets plasticized by an injection moulding machine in a moulding unit and finally injected into an injection moulding tool. The cavity in the tool determines the form and surface structure of the ready-to-use part which can vary in size from a few grams up to two-digit kilogram weights. The injection moulding makes the production of objects possible with high precision and speed, so that the parts can then be used for precision engineering as well as mass production. One can thus almost freely choose the surface of the component, for example slippery surfaces for visual applications, grainings for touch friendly areas as well as samples and engravings. The injection moulding method usually makes sense only for larger quantities since the costs for the tool are a significant part of the necessary investments. By the extremely cost-efficient production of the tools of Sequo Plastic in Asia, the verge of economic viability can be easily reached for a few hundred parts even in the case of complex tools. Due to the high quality of the tools, they can then be later produced up to millions of units.
